Report Emu Sightings
Contact rescue groups
If an emu has serious wounds, deep gashes or exposed skin.
Remains outside your premises in daylight hours.
Clearly an young bird.
Appears disorientated or trapped away from natural habitats.
If they are mobile on roads during daylight hours.
On or in centre of road lying down and not able to get up correctly.
Shows visible blood or other wounds.
Emu’s can be very difficult and dangerous. Report them to the nearest wildlife rescue centre and follow their advice.
Often there are escapees from zoos and wildlife parks or more loikely farmed Emu’s/ Again report these sightings to a wildlife rescue organisation.
